  • Book on astrological horoscope in two parts. The first part is an introduction to “Katarche”, or electional astrology, the second part deals with the position of the moon and other planets in the twelve zodiacs.
    Titles mentioned for this work differ in preserved manuscripts.
    The Leipzig MS seems to be but a fragment, because of the originally 50 chapters (bāb) of the second part, only one has been preserved, as far as can be stated for now.
    In the Leipzig MS, the author is mentioned as Suhayl ibn Bishr, not Sahl.
    f. 41a:
    The copyist prepared the copy for himself.
