maʿrifat ḥisāb al-daraj wa-al-daqā'iq written by Badr al-Dīn Abū ʿAbdallāh Muḥammad
ibn Muḥammad ibn Aḥmad Sibṭ al-Māridīnī (d. 912/1506; EI2 VI/543; GAL II/167-168 S
II/215-217; Kaḥḥālah IX/188; Ziriklī VII/54-55). Sibṭ al-Māridīnīʿs work contains
an instruction on how to calculate the movements of the heavenly bodies in grades
and minutes.
