  The otherwise barely known scholar was, according to MS Berlin Landberg 374 professor in Istanbul (mudarris bi-Astāna) and Ottoman judge of Medina still in 1300. There he endowed a great number of manuscripts copied in his own hand to the ʿĀrif Ḥikmat library.
