  • Third part of the biographical work al-Ḍauʾ al-lāmiʿ on famous personalities of the 9./15. century written by al-Sakhāwī.
    The Leipzig manuscript begins in the midts of a biographical section which is then followed by the biography of Muḥammad ibn Aḥmad ibn Muḥammad ibn [...] al-Muḥibb ibn Shihāb al-Qāhirī al-Ḥanafī al-maʿrūf bi-Ibn al-Musaddī. It ends with the biography of Muḥammad ibn Muḥammad ibn ʿAbd al-Munʿim ibn Dāwūd ibn Sulaymān al-Badr Abū al-Maḥāsin ibn al-Badr Abī ʿAbdallāh ibn al-Sharaf ibn al-Makārim al-Baghdādī al-Qāhirī al-Ḥanablī. The hand which has written the title on f. 1a, ascribes the authorship of the work wrongly to Shihāb al-Dīn Abū al-Faḍl Aḥmad ibn ʿAlī ibn Muḥammad Ibn Ḥajar al-ʿAsqalānī (d. 852/1449; EI2 III/776-778; II/67-70 S II/72-76; Kaḥḥālah II/20-22; Ziriklī I/178-179), the teacher of al-Sakhāwī.
