This manuscript is perhaps one of the most revealing in the entire Buxtorf family
collection in that it provides insight into how familiar with Jewish literature the
elder Buxtorf actually became over the course of his life. It contains notes on many
topics, including how Jews regarded Christians and Christianity (pp. 2-49, and pp.
150-158), Hebrew composition, including many examples of epistolary formulae drawn
from Buxtorfs own extensive Hebrew correspondence (pp. 50-149), explanations for New
Testament passages drawn from rabbinical literature (pp. 173-186), and Jewish eschatological
thougth and opinions on the messiah's coming (pp. 187-212, 289-293) (J. Prijs, 1994)
